Every year, Young Life’s Commonwealth Region hosts a great get together
called Committee Leader Weekend. This year, 1,200 folks trekked to Short Pump
from as far away as the Atlantic Ocean and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
And from as close as Goochland.
About 20 of us who are involved with Goochland Young Life sat in on the
weekend’s seminars, learning more about Young Life’s vision of giving every kid
in Virginia and beyond the chance to make an informed decision about the nature
and character of Jesus Christ.
Since this is Young Life, we did some dancing, too.

The Commonwealth Region’s 52 full time staff and nearly 1,000 volunteer
leaders have made contact with close to 20,000 of our adolescent friends this
school year. The region has 149 ministries in and around 470 high schools and
middle schools.
