At our recent Bluegrass & BBQ fundraiser, we had a great time celebrating the way Young Life is at work in Goochland. Through its weekly meetings, Young Life reaches at least one out of every 10 kids at Goochland High School! For some of those kids, Young Life is the only time they hear about Jesus, His life and His love for them.
Everyone at the BBQ loved hearing from senior Whit Bates who told us Young Life didn't exist in Goochland when he was a freshman. He's seen what a difference it's made for his friends and for his school, and he hopes Young Life will be in Goochland High School for many years to come.
Goochland Young Life is hosting a Dodge Ball Tournament to help kids raise money for Young Life Summer Camp (also known as the best week of your life!).
The tournament will be held from 12:30 - 3 pm on Saturday May 5 at Goochland High School. A team of 5 can register for $50, and the money goes to a good cause! Each team’s registration fee can be directed to help a specific kid’s camp costs or it will go into the general campership fund.
