The Car Wash that Beat all Car Washes

Today’s car wash was the best ever!
We BEAT our goal and raised $2,000 today. $1,400 of that came from the generous drivers who stopped at our car wash.  And a big thanks goes to Mark Smith who not only let us use his Midas parking lot – he also added his own gift.  He’d pledged that if we were able to raise the equivalent of two scholarships, he would contribute a third scholarship!

He may look small, but he sure can clean wheels.

Thanks so much to everyone who came by the car wash and helped spread the word. You did a terrific job, and we thank God for you.

And a big round of applause for the Goochland YL kids and volunteer leaders who worked hard for five hours making those cars shine!

Some Nights, Only a Chicken Sandwich Will Do. Like Wednesday June 19

Wednesday June 19 is Goochland Young Life’s Spirit Night at Short Pump Chick-fil-A on Pump Road. From 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., a percentage of sales from dinner will help Goochland High School students who want to go to Young Life’sWindy Gap Camp in July.  And who wouldn’t want to go? It’s the best week of your life!

We’ve got a bus that could fit nearly 50 kids. But some of them need help to cover the cost of camp.

Be sure you tell them you’re there for Goochland Young Life so that they’ll know to donate a percentage of that sale to GYL.

And be sure to tell your friends to go by Chick-fil-A, 3380 Pump Road, on June 19!

Help Kids go to Camp at the June 15 Car Wash

Get your car washed on Saturday June 15 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Midas in Short Pump, at the corner of Pump Rd. and Broad St., 11463 W Broad St.

It’s a Car Wash like no other – it’s an amazing opportunity to help Goochland High School students raise money for camp.

If the kids raise $1,200 (that’s the equivalent of two camp scholarships), Midas owner Mark Smith will donate a third camp scholarship!

The money raised will help Goochland High School students who want to go to Young Life’s Windy Gap Camp in July.  And who wouldn’t want to go? It’s the best week of your life!

We’ve got a bus that could fit nearly 50 kids. But some of them need help to cover the cost of camp. YOU and your dirty car can help.

Be sure to tell all your friends to bring their dirty cars, too!
